You've probably noticed that, in general, my style skews more neutral than colorful. (I mean, you can easily see for yourself by scanning through my past budget posts.) I surprised myself when I fell in love with this sweater last September and decided to go for it even though it would end up being the brightest item in my wardrobe. So far, I've really been enjoying wearing it! It livens up any outfit (and any day I wear it, for that matter).

Last spring, I wore the same jeans and flats combination in an outfit with my mint sweater. The pairing is too good to not repeat! It's actually kind of funny to look back at that post and not just because I shot the outfits at the same location. We're having another typical spring where it's warm one week and chilly the next, as I described in that post. It's also a flashback to how my shoes used to look—all shiny and new! Now they've been worn quite a few more times, and it shows in the creases by my toes and the slightly-blackened tips. I think if I had to pick a favorite between the two, I'd pick this outfit just because I prefer the more oversized fit of my bright red sweater. :)
