Two is better than one

Everlane black silk top, Grana black silk shorts, Madewell 'Billie' boots — Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

Rompers are one of those articles of clothing that I never really understood. I have owned exactly one in my lifetime, and I hardly wore it because it fit me kind of strangely, the inseam was way too short and I'm pretty sure my butt hung out the bottom, and it was kind of weird to undress myself every time I used the restroom. Ever since I got rid of that one romper, I basically swore them off...

Until now. Just kidding. This isn't a romper. ;) I love how it looks like I'm wearing a romper even though I'm not. When I got my black silk Grana shorts, I had a feeling they'd go with my silk top from Everlane perfectly. I actually can't tell at all that the pieces are by two different brands; can you? They feel very similar in quality, too. I completed the look with my Madewell 'Billie' boots because black and cognac is one of my favorite color combinations. I felt very "pre-fall" in this outfit. ;)

P.S. Don't mind the slightly screwed up necklace string... I really thought I had fixed it before we shot photos. Oh well. That's what it looked like for most of the day, haha. #reallife
