June 2016 Wardrobe Additions

June 2016 wardrobe additions — Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

COS striped top: $79
ASOS maxi skirt: $26 (originally $33)
Sandelles metallic sandals (seen here): $60 (used Poshmark funds)

June Total = $105

$450 (quarterly budget) - $105 (June) = $345 left for July and August

Surprisingly, I was a bit light on the shopping this month. I think it had to do with all of my travel (I was in Vienna earlier this month and now I'm back in my hometown through the 4th of July). I didn't really have the time to think about shopping, and I was also trying to save money for adventuring.

In Vienna, I had planned on making a stop at COS because I love that store and there's not one at home. I fell in love with this striped top which is a mix of cotton and silk (and it has buttons down the back!). I was shocked to find out that even though I paid full price, I still paid $20 less than the American retail price of $99 (not to mention I would have also needed to pay sales tax and shipping). Win-win! (It's now on sale for $50, of course...so buy it! Ha. It fits true to size.)

I placed an order at ASOS over Memorial Day weekend and ended up only keeping this skirt. I also ordered this striped dress and had such high hopes, but the sleeves were different lengths, the fabric was a bit itchy, and it was a bit tight in the shoulders. I ended up buying the skirt in a petite US 4, which is my usual size at ASOS, and I decided on the petite length thanks to seeing Jean in her skirt. The length is perfect for wearing flats (I'm borderline petite at 5'4").

In mid-May, I finally ordered the metallic gold sandals from Sandelles, and they arrived while I was in Vienna. I absolutely love them! They are handmade in Cyprus and didn't take long to get to me at all. I was a bit confused by their size chart where a US 7 (my normal size) equaled a European 38, but they recommended measuring the length of the soles of my shoes and comparing that length to their size chart. I ended up ordering a 37 and they fit perfectly.

I'm planning on placing orders at Amour Vert and Grana soon (thank you to everyone who used my referral link!), but other than that I can't think of much that I need for my summer wardrobe. Maybe a denim vest? Now that it's super hot I'd have to save it for the end of summer!
