Fair isle flair

Chris and I went for a walk to find new places to shoot outfit photos, and we stumbled across this adorable turquoise door. Of course, we had to stop and shoot in front of it! I love how it contrasts against my neutral outfit and the surroundings.

I absolutely love these fair isle socks from Madewell. I purchased them with my shiny black oxfords in mind; I could somewhat winterize the shoes, plus they kept the sturdy leather from rubbing my feet. It seemed too obvious to wear this combination with my black pants, so I opted instead for my white denim...and I gave a little sneak peek into this look a week ago. I went matchy-matchy with the grey sweater, but I love how it all came together. Comfortable, chic, and a little bit silly with those socks peeking out from under my jeans!
