The basic pattern mix

IMG_5895

For anyone even remotely familiar with the fashion/style blogging world, you know about pattern mixing. And you know that EVERYONE has "mixed" stripes with leopard. It's like a rite of passage or something in the blogging world. I hadn't worn this combination yet, but only because I didn't own leopard flats until recently. Yes, it's a super basic pattern mix combination; it's pretty much a no-fail if you're trying your hands at it for the first time. But it's fun, so why not take part?! The only disappointing thing (if you can call it disappointing) is that you won't see this mix again on here...or not until I either get new leopard flats or start wearing my leopard heels regularly. These pretty much fell apart on the day I wore this outfit, which is super disappointing considering it was only the second time I wore them. Luckily, Hautelook has A+ customer service, and now I know not to buy Carrini brand flats (or anything) ever again. I promise, the super cheap price isn't worth it.

In other news, I got a new MacBook Pro for finishing my Master's, and my photos look exponentially worse on the retina screen. I'm so grateful for all of you that read my blog even though my pictures could use some work, haha. Thank you! :)
