Sparkle and stripes
So, how about those Oscars?! I thought the winners were very deserving of their awards. Chris and I watched Gravity on Saturday, and I'm so glad we watched it before the Oscars! It was an incredible movie, though slightly terrifying. (However, I think I'd still go into space if I had the chance!) I've now seen two of the Best Picture-nominated films (that and Nebraska). We filled out Oscar ballots just for fun. Chris kicked my butt! I only got nine awards correct, and he got 16! I told him he should make a March Madness bracket, haha. I didn't pick Gravity for some awards even though my gut was telling me to. I also picked Jennifer Lawrence to win even though I had a feeling she wouldn't. I wish-casted, if you can't tell. It didn't end well for me. I think I would have done a lot better if I had seen more of the movies that were nominated. We're going to try and see more of them next year!
Let's discuss this outfit. I actually love it, though I realized that necklaces do not go with banded collars. Oops. Next time, I'll be all about the earrings. I'm also internally debating about my choice of shoe. Would cognac ankle boots look better? (I don't own any, but hypothetically speaking, of course.) I might wear this again with different shoes just to see. Or maybe I'll play dress up in front of the mirror and my ever-so-patient boyfriend. I do love these boots, though. I upgraded from my old Delia's boots featured so heavily on here. I hope they last me many years!
