A year ago, I was just getting into the wide leg pant trend, and this chambray pair was the first pair that I bought! (J.Crew Factory brought them back this year!) I tried to resist the trend…mostly because I didn’t think it would work on me. I’m borderline petite, so I figured they would swallow me whole and make me look unbalanced. Little did I know that I would love them! If you’re not on board yet, let me tell you: You’re missing out! Wide leg pants are basically glorified pajamas that you can wear to work.

We’ve had some summery days here lately, so I paired my chambray wide leg pants with a linen tee this time. I added the earrings to play off of the embellishments on the sandals. I wore my black blazer over the tee while at work...because #AC. One thing I noticed is that I always wear my wide leg pants to work. I don’t think I’ve ever worn them on the weekend. They almost feel too formal for the weekend, which is odd to write because the fabric reads more casual. What do you think about wearing these pants on the weekend? I can’t think of what to wear to dress them down and make them weekend-ready…maybe a crop top? Ha!
