After I wore this plaid dress under a skirt back in the spring, I thought I would be letting it go because I wasn't crazy about it anymore and couldn't think of any more outfits with it. Over the summer, I put it on my list of items to list on Poshmark...and then I realized that it could be worn with this charcoal grey cropped sweater over my ponte pants in the fall for work.
The length of this dress is pretty ridiculous; it's definitely way too short to be worn alone! I essentially turned this dress into a tunic, which worked well since I like to wear these pants with longer tops for work. The sweater masks the waistband and makes it appear as those the sweater and dress are connected, kind of like a peplum top. I love how the mockneck of the dress peeks out of the sweater. This may or may not be the last time this dress makes an appearance on the blog, but at least it had a good run, right?! Who knows, I may surprise myself and think of more outfits with it! The pants certainly help to increase the outfit possibilities!
I've been wearing these shiny chelsea boots a whole lot lately! They make me happy and make me feel powerful, so of course I'm all about them. :) Though I must note that after wearing them to a football game this past weekend, they are not suitable for being outdoors in sub-40° temperatures for a long period of time! My poor feet were frozen, and I was only there for one half of the game! (I suppose I should have worn wool socks with them, haha...)
